I would take as many slices of Scotland as you ever wish to offer. The country is so mysteriously fascinating. Your photos are superb. The scenes look very inviting but somehow distant, romantically appealing but also withdrawn, isolated even when inhabited. And I'm not sure at all that the territorial bird would let me in. Maybe if I give it bread? I would visit Scotland any day (with no haggis around.)

The bird certainly stood its ground, just one pace away from me and with a look that seemed to say, "If you are not going to feed me then go away." We faced off like that for about five minutes while other people seemed to think it worth taking pictures of us, then I retreated.

I see 'that' gull is following you around still ;-)

Seaside would not be the same without her Cherie.
