The trees here have been whispering the same thing too...

They all know what's coming...

The air in Sydney is whispering of spring. Very quietly, mind you.

I think I would like to migrate continuously so that I am always as close as possible to Spring. Wings would be a help (plus an ability to enjoy feeding on insects and worms). Too much to ask? Oh well, a lottery win to fund perpetual travel, perhaps... Too much to ask? Oh well, I'll hunker down and see what I can find to enjoy in Autumn and Winter then.

And spring is rushing in here in Canberra. I expect her to change her mind and retreat for a week or so, but the early signs are here.

It does feel rather autumnal recently doesn't it Andrew. Hopefully it will pick up again. Lovely shots.

Here in Halifax we're still having hot summer days but the nights have cooled enough to know what you say is true.

Your pictures are wonderful, especially that old street after the rain.

Spring is a fickle lady EC (well, aren't they all?)

I hear forecasts of a glorious September Craig. That would be nice.

"That old street", Susan, is what we call the buzzing heart of our modern techno-village, fully integrated into the broadband and wireless world :) 'Tis true that the church tower is about a thousand years old though. The road was resurfaced just a few years ago, so may deserve the title of "new street". Glad you like the view.
