WHAT a stunning spot. Thank you. Though I suspect it could get a bit bleak in winter.

The home of my ancestors and fond memories of my visits there. Thank you :-)

Majestic ruin. They knew how to build in those days. It's so inspired! I love the town (or fishing village?) Great character...

looks lovely and you were lucky with the weather. But did you have fish and chips at the Whitby Whaler? Friends who live in Harrogate say it's very good indeed.

The Abbey is fantastic is it not.
The fact that the wall is in the frame indicates that you refused to pay the entry fee.
I wont be resorting to the usual jibe about scots and clenched buttocks because I wouldn't pay either.

The pictures are wonderful - the Abbey in particular.

Shame on you Pete, the entry fee credit card receipt is still in my wallet and this was on the way out and back to the car park the long way round. I did originally think about just jumping over the wall though... Actually that would not have been necessary, as there is a path that goes in via the back, but like honest Scots we paid up (then saw how silly we had been :)

I am glad people enjoy the images.

No fish and chips Craig, although we did see plenty of people indulging.

Apologies for slandering your excellent character Andrew. You may slap me on the wrist.

Scots do not do slaps on the wrist Pete... will a dunt oan the heid be accepted instead? It's the mildest we can offer.

Ok but not too hard :-)
