Polytunnel City

The local polytunnels are quite some way away from me and somewhat down in a dip, so they don't spoil my view and don't bother me at all.

I don't think we use polytunnels (if we do I have never seen them) so I found this really interesting. What is grown in them?

Are you sure that these haven't been erected as housing for next years influx from Romania and Bulgaria?

Strawberries, only strawberries, rows and rows of lovely strawberries EC... all picked by visiting Eastern Europeans actually Craig.

Your climate means no need for polytunnels EC, but here they allow a longer growing season and much increased yield of crops.
