You've captured some wonderful pictures these past few days. I wonder why it is that the yellow spring flowers always make me feel most joyous? Of course, I'm very fond of cherry blossoms to but there aren't any here.

Is that gorse, or forsythia? Either way, a welcome look of spring.

Gorse? Not forsythia anyway. Such a cheery splash of colour.

Glad you like it people. It is Gorse, which we also call Whin. It grows wild all over the place in huge banks of prickly yellow along many a roadside and up hillsides, riverbanks, anywhere it gets a chance really. I love it.
